Garmin Forerunner 110
Garmin's Forerunner 110 is a simplified, easy to use GPS watch for runners and walkers. Unlike its predecessors, the popular Forerunner 405 and Forerunner 305 series of watches, the Forerunner 110 offers an uncomplicated, less advanced set of features. Garmin stripped away the features and details that most people don't use in the other Forerunner models and focused on delivering the user feedback on "how far you've gone and how fast." Billed as "Garmin's simplest GPS fitness watch yet," the Forerunner 110 allows you to easily and quickly view time, distance, and pace. This covers about 90% of what most runners want out of a GPS watch -accurate distance measurement across time and accurate pace and route mapping. Much like the Forerunner 405, the 110 model is sporty looking and does not have the size and bulk of the 305 - it looks more like an everyday sports watch than it does a hand-held computer strapped to the wrist. At an entry price of $250 (with heart rate monitor), the 110 comes in both women's and men's styles. There is also a unisex version of the watch without a hear rate monitor that sells for $200.
Forerunner 110 Features
Easy setup - Just answer a few basic questions then step outside, press "start" and go on your run or walk - it will track your workout data—it's as easy as that! It does not require much 'programming.'
Fast Satellite location: Using the proprietary HotFix™ satellite prediction, the 110 quickly locks on to satellites.
Accurate: the GPS technology very accurately records your location, distance, speed, and pace information.
Heart Rate Monitoring strap included: ...in the version of the watch that includes heart rate monitoring - it's nice that they don't try and nickel and dime you for accessories.
Water Resistant: not heavy duty water resistance, but the 110 can survive a dunk in the shallow end of the pool
Rechargeable lithium-ion battery: lasts about 8 hours in GPS mode and up to 3 weeks in power save mode.
Track and Review your workouts: Using the Garmin Connect website, view your routes on a map and various graphs and charts to review how your workouts went. Data from each run is stored in the watch.

just purchased and not happy with it. the satellite reception is not that great. also, it uses an AVERAGE for your run, rather than displaying your pace as you are running. so, if you average a steady pace for the mile or entire run, that is fine. but if you stop and walk or your pace fluctuates during a run and you want to monitor your pace as it really is, then this watch isnt for you. get the 405 instead...i'm much happier with that one.
I have a 305 and I am very satisfied with it. Haven't seen the Forerunner 110 before is it a US model?
I am not happy with the Garmin 110. I waited for this watch because it was supposed to be smaller and simpler in its functions. The pace monitor is totally useless. It loses reception all the time and especially in wooded neighborhoods. I am not talking about forests, I am talking about a few trees in the neighborhood. It is useless for me, I am totally disappointed.
Really happy with the 110 that I bought. I decided that I didn't need the current pace feature that the more expensive models have as average lap pace is fine for me. I use the heart rate recording functionality on almost every training run that I do and honestly don't think I could imagine running without it!
